David Bandy Wins 2009 Victorian Disc Golf Open

Play has now concluded in the annual Victorian Disc Golf Open for 2009.
Congratulations to David Bandy of Western Australia for taking out this years Men’s Open division.

Thanks to all who made the effort to come and play in this event and to those who volunteered their efforts which made this weekend possible. We will have a full report, pictures and other information posted as soon as possible.

NEW Vic Open - Sunday Schedule Update

April 27, 2009

All competitors should take note of this updated schedule for Sunday’s play at Bundoora Park.

Tee off on Sunday will be earlier, and the presentation will be ending later, than previously mentioned. We will be planning to finish presentations no later than 4pm for those traveling intestate on Sunday evening.

For those flying out, Melbourne airport is about a 20-25 minute drive from Sunday’s course.

DAY 2
Sunday 24th May - Bundoora Park, Bundoora
8:45 AM - Players Meeting
9:00 AM - Round 3 - 18 Holes
11:30 AM - Round 4 - 9 Holes
1:00 PM - Lunch
2:00 PM - Men’s Open Division 9 Hole Final*
3:30 PM - Presentations

* 9 other holes will be open for anyone who would rather play more disc golf. With the exception of the Men’s Open Division, scores after lunch will not count toward the tournament results.

2009 Victorian Disc Golf Open

The Melbourne Disc Golf Club and the Geelong Disc Golf Club invite you to join us on the 23rd and 24th May 2009 for the 2^nd inaugural Victorian Disc Golf Open in Melbourne.

We invite people of all ages, regardless of your skill level or experience to come along and try your luck at these 2 challenging courses. The Victorian Disc Golf Open is run by Disc Golfers, for Disc Golfers.

In the lead up to the event, we will be posting more and more detailed information on the tournament website, which is currently under construction. Please check back regularly for detailed updates, including information on course preparations, event times, prizes and event sponsors.
